We invite you to join us as we worship together at St Luke Episcopal Church.
Opportunities for Worship:
- Well, every day really, or as the psalmist says, "Seven times a day I have given praise to thee, for the judgments of thy justice." Psm 119.164
- Sunday at 10 15 am. Choral Holy Communion
- Thursday at 10 am. Holy Communion
Children's church begins at 10.05 am on Sunday mornings and consists of worship and projects suitable for young children. On the first sunday of each month, children worship with parents.
Choir: meets regularly on Thursday evenings at 7 pm, and on Sunday morning at 9 am, for rehearsal
Adult Forum: Sunday Mornings at 9:30 am. This year we will be exploring the Bridges series from the Merton Institute, which is dedicated to the practice of contemplative spirituality.
Opportunities for service:
1st Sunday Soup Day: a community meal hosted by the parish for the community at no cost and served ina family style setting Begun in November, 2010, the hot lunch has been a great success, thanks to the dedication of parishioners.
Food collection for the area food bank .
Collections for WomenSafe, a shelter in Geauga County for women and children in transition from abusive relationships.
Support for students of Rock Foundation School: we are currently helping to fund the education of four students who are attending Rock Foundation School.
Opportunity for study:
Sunday mornings at 9:30. we are reading nearly contemporary christian writers, for example Merton or Lewis.
Thursday mornings at 10:30: a discussion group focusing on the theme of the intersection of religion and culture.
